Mr.Karukurichi Balaji is a Faculty of SAMAS ACADEMY for VEENA. He is an approved ‘B’ High Grade Veena Artiste in ALL INDIA RADIO, Pondicherry and he is not only Veena Vidhwan but he has been a Authorised and Recognized Instruments Technician of ALL INDIA RADIO, DOORDARSHAN and several other organizations for Veena, Tambura, Sitar, etc. it is an advantage of SAMAS ACADEMY students who pursue Veena Course can learn the technical aspects of the instruments and they need not depend on anybody for the repair of the instruments for an emergency situation.

Initiated to the art of playing Veena at the tender age of 6, under the tutelage of my father Veteran Veena player (Late)SRI.KARUKURICHIS.ADINARAYANAIYER, Veena Artist (Retd.)A.I.R, Puducherry.

Underwent advance training in Vocal under the able Guidance of (Late) SRI.S. Rajaraman, Former Director,KALAKSHETRA FOUNDATION, Chennaiand (Late) Vairamangalam He has an abroad exposure also, as he worked as a Veena Teacher in KALAMANDIR (Temple of Fine Arts), Singapore and He served as Veena Master in Rythms asthetic society , Singapore.

Has been performing concerts with ALL INDIA RADIO since 1974 from the age of 6 till day at various occasions. Has been performing with DOORDARSHAN since 1991 and in various other private channels like Sun TV, Vijay TV, Raj TV, Etc. He worked with Legend (Late) Shri. Kunnakudi Vaidhyanathan for the past 25 years. Has released two albums viz. ‘Everlasting Melodies’ and‘Saint Thiagaraja’s Pancharatna Kritis’.

Honored with the titles ‘Suganadha Sudaroli’ by the Apoorva Ragam Sabhain January 2011. ‘Aasthana Vidwan’of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam by Their HolinessSri Sankaracharyas of Kanchipuram, TamilNadu state, India. ‘Nadaswaroopamamani’by Sri Thyagaraja aradhanai arpani sabha. ‘AkshayaNadhanipuna’ by Akshaya arts academy.Has traveled several countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Reunion, France, Belgium and Srilanka for solo performance.
