Trichy K Ramesh, son of Sri S Kalyanaraman and Smt Pattamal, was born in 1965 amidst the family who were discerning and appreciating music. Being a graduate of commerce, he had his early tutelage of music under Musiri Sri M.R. Gopalarathnam Iyer (Disciple of Musiri Sri Subramania Iyer). Later on, he was groomed by Trichy Sri S.Swaminatha Iyer, Thanjavur Sri Sankara Iyer and Semmangudi Dr. R.Srinivasa Iyer. He gave his maiden performance, at the age of 16, at Sri Sathguru Sangeetha Sabha in Trichy in 1982. Since then, he has been giving numerous concerts in and around India and has performed in almost every renowned and well-established Sabhas and music arena.

Stalwarts such as Vellore Sri Ramabadran, Pudukottai Sri S. Mahadevan, Dr. T.K. Murthy, Umayalpuram Dr. K. Sivaraman, Guruvayur Sri Durai, Dr. Trichy Sankaran, Mannargudi Sri A. Easwaran, Nagai Sri R. Muralidharan, Parur Sri M.A. Sundareswaran, Srimushnam Sri Raja Rao and various other artists have accompanied and encouraged him in the career of music. Apart from these performances, he has been touring abroad regularly and giving concerts at various places including Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana of Cleveland.

He has released Cassette in praise of Kanchi Paramacharya and CD titled 'Sarvam Brahma Mayam'. He is a B-High Grade Artist of All India Radio, Trichy. He has been conferred with many titles and awards which include Isai Chakravarthy, Madura Gana Sangeetha Rathnam, Bharathy Puraskar Award, RMKV Award of Excellence by Rasika Fine Arts, Chennai in 2011, etc., by various illustrious organizations. He is also the Aasthaana Vidhwan of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt.

He has also received the Best Concert Award from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai during December Season 1999 and a meritorious award from Maharajapuram Santhanam Foundation. Apart from being an exhaustive performing artist, he is also a well experienced and efficacious guru. He has been imparting music to various students, under the banner of Nadhadweepam Sangeetha Gurukulam since 1998. He is also conducting online music classes both for students abroad and in India. He has founded the 'Nadhadweepam' Trust with a view to extend his contribution to the field of music. Under the banner of the Trust, he has been honouring and conferring titles on senior and eminent Musicians, encouraging various Young and budding talents and crossover ventures with Musical Organizations in India and abroad. He is also the Trust Board Secretary and Vice President of Sri Sathguru Thiagabrahma Aradhana Trust and Sri Sathguru Sangeetha Sabha, Srirangam, Trichy. He has also published books on basic lessons namely Agasthiar Sangeetha Rathnamala and on Varnam namely Agasthiar Sangeetha Varnamala.
