He is an intelligent Faculty of SAMAS ACADEMY, Chennai for Basics of Cinematography and specialised teaching in his subject. His way of practical training with the latest technology and RED camera paves the way for the students who took the Cinematographer in the career with the great success. He is an asset for SAMAS MEDIA ACADEMY. He has done his Diploma in Film Technology D.F.T and his Specialisation in Cinematography Passed out in 1985. He is a son of Professor A.P. Santhanaraj, a great Professor, Former Principal, College Of Arts & Crafts, Chennai. He Had undergone rigorous training in Television Production at the FILM &TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, PUNE- in 1989. He was serving from 1985 TO 1986 in ITV & PTI –New Delhi –As In-House Cinematographer.

He had given many media lectures on TELEVISION CINEMATOGRAPHY at PATIALA UNIVERSITY, Punjab, for more than 3 months continuously. Aug 1986 to 1991 – He served as Senior Cameraman in Doordarshan Kendra Jalandhar & Chennai from August 1986 to 1991 Worked and working as freelance cinematographer for Television serials (Above 1500 episodes) Corporate films, advertisement films, Documentaries etc., Produced, Scripted & directed several corporate films, Advertisement films, Produced Television serials for Doordarshan Produced & Directed a Tamil Feature Film ‘Bhayam’ Dubbed & released in Telugu & Hindi also.
